I hope you all had a wonderful and restful break!
As we begin April, we are looking forward to a strong and focused return to school. This month, our New York State assessments will begin. These assessments provide students with an opportunity to apply and show the skills they practice every day in the classroom. We encourage all students to do their best and approach this experience with confidence.
This week, we will also take time to review and practice our SOAR behavior expectations. Students will focus on what it looks and sounds like to demonstrate self-control, stay on task and achieve, and show respect in all areas of the building. Reinforcing these expectations helps create a positive and supportive learning environment for everyone.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be practicing our safety drills to ensure students are prepared and understand procedures in a calm and supportive way.
We are also excited to host our Kids Heart Challenge assembly, where students will learn about the importance of heart health, staying active, and ways they can make a positive impact by helping others.
Thank you for your continued support. We are looking forward to a great month ahead!
Sincerely,
Tracy
